Styling Leopard Print Legwear Tips to Style Polka Dots or Pinpoint Hosiery Animal Faces and Alike Floral Pantyhose What's on my Must-Have List   Tights Go beyond Solid Color with the Patterned Tights Trend In Alaska, the weather sort of requires to wear tights for about seven months when you are a skirt/dress gal. In April/March under Chinook conditions, one may get away with pantyhose when styling a summer dress for spring. Just wearing the same, same neutral colors of brown, gray, black and navy becomes pretty boring. Thus, I extended my wardrobe to add teal, burgundy, purple, red and turnip tights, i.e. colors that I style like a neutral anyway. At Fashion Week that prints on legwear are a big trend for the upcoming fall/winter season. Why wait until then? There are still two months of winter left in Alaska, and at least a month in many mountainous regions, Canada, Scandinavia, Siberia, and northern mid-latitudes? No way! Let's become a trendsetter!   Which Prints to Avoid? Can we pull this trend off? Sure, we do! All we have to avoid are marigold tights. They fail to look stylish on anyone. That's why they are among Halloween favorites. Pippi Långstrump anyone?   Styling Leopard Print Legwear The easiest one is leopard print which has been an It print for quite a while. It even has the potential to become a classic. For sure it will be an identifier of the fashion of the 10s of this century.   Details of leopard print pantyhose   Pendleton glen check skirt, Hermes collier de chien bangle, gemstone necklace, leopard print tights, Jimmy Choo boots     Tips to Style Polka Dots or Pinpoint Hosiery Polka dots and pinpoints are also a classic on blouses, dresses and lately even pumps and Keds. A regular distribution is easier and figure friendlier than an irregular one. The latter might be mistaken for lumps and bumps on your legs. Who needs that? Like with polka dot clothing stir away from dots greater than a quarter or 1 Euro coin. You want to look trendy, but stylish. Not like the Clown of the week.   Details pinpoint tights   Pinpoint tight c/o No nonsense styled with own Halogen leather dress, Hermes collier de chien bangle, statement belt, Jones New York polka dot shirt and black pumps   Details of pinpoint tights with zebra pumps   Brooks Brothers turtleneck cashmere sweater, Vince Camuto cable knit skirt, unbranded zebra print pony hair pumps, panther statement belt, Hermes collier de chien bangle, and pinpoint tights c/o No nonsense     Animal Faces and Alike Except for tattoo like prints on pantyhose this design is best in black and white. This cool pair was a gift from a colleague who saw them in Moscow. She said they had my name written all over it. They really do! Well, she knows me!   Lookbook Store motorcycle leather jacket, Oliveo leather Bermuda, Harley Davidson booties, unbranded animal face hosiery and Covered Perfectly zebra top   I love to wear them for dancing with my black or gold leather shorts. Why? They are the items with the shortest hem. Why hide one of the beasts?   Front view to show that there is no embellishment. Lookbook Store leather biker, Oliveo leather shorts, animal face tight, Harley Davidson heels, and zebra top c/o Covered Perfectly     Floral Pantyhose Greetje from No Fear of Fashion gave this pair with florals to me as a Christmas gift. Thank you so much, my friend! The photo below shows how she wore them later with a leather skirt! So edgy! <3   Greetje of No Fear of Fashion in a red top, black leather skirt, her floral pair of legwear and her signature cool booties   Finally, it got warm enough in the Interior to wear mine. I went with a girly edgy look when styling them for the first time.   How I styled the floral pantyhose     Max Mara orange straight wool skirt, Anne Taylor sweater dyed turquoise, Judith Leiber charm belt, Hermes collier de chien bangle, Harley Davidson booties), Trasparenze floral legwear (gift from Greetje), Ed Hardy sunglasses, silk scarf c/o Uno Alla Volta   Below another office look. The flowers serve to provide some spring vibe to the outfit. You know there is a big difference between a southern vs. northern spring work outfit.     Side view fit-and-flare dress with florals   Outfit details: Max Mara denim coat with fur details, eShakti fit-and-flare dress, Judith Leiber charm belt, structured work bag, floral tights, and Winkwood sunglasses     What's on my Must-Have List I am currently carving a pair with a paisley design. Paisley aka Persian pickles are a great classic. I haven't found them yet in colors that would go with the items in my wardrobe. Will you jump the bandwagon on this trend? If so, what do you have in mind? Let me know. Just curious.   Interested in more dressing tips? Then my style book how to Dress for Success in Midlife is perfect for you.
