The fabric in this garment is partly made from captured carbon emissions in collaboration with LanzaTech. The LanzaTech science is state-of-the-art, but the idea is simple. Naturally occurring organisms consume waste carbon that can come from solid waste or factory emissions, and make ethanol, a building block to produce polyester. By capturing and reusing carbon instead of letting it go to waste, LanzaTech provides a new recycling solution that helps reduce pollution and limits the use of virgin fossil resources to make new products.
