A lovely range of one of a kind copper jewellery pieces. NEW material being recovered from the mine dumps of 5th shaft in Messina. Ajoite inclusions in quartz have been off the market for decades since the Messina Copper Mines closed their doors. This is matrix Ajoite which is now being polished to perfection locally, with some natural small specimens also being made available. Ajoite must be one of the rarest and most desirable mineral species coming out of South Africa next to Sugilite. The Ajoite in matrix is often associated to thin veins of Malachite. The primary host material is a Quartz with complex intersecting veins of the Ajoite and Malachite running through the polished pieces. Absolutely exceptional new
